Enable Holiday Mode Before Your Break

With the holiday season approaching, it’s time to ensure your shop is ready for the break. Whether you’re heading off on holiday, auditing your stock, or simply taking a moment to refine your listings, Fruugo’s Holiday Mode is here to help. You can pause your storefront in seconds—just log in to the Retailer Portal and toggle it on.

What Is Holiday Mode?

Holiday Mode is a module within the Retailer Portal for Fruugo retailers that temporarily removes your products from being available for purchase on Fruugo but retains your performance metrics.

When Holiday Mode is active:

  • Your products are not available for customers to buy.
  • No new orders will be placed on your account.
  • You are not expected to fulfil orders during the selected period.

This helps protect both customer experience and retailer performance during periods when order processing is not possible. Where necessary, Fruugo’s Account Management team can support and enable holiday mode on your behalf. Please contact your Account Manager to discuss.

Why Use Holiday Mode?

Holiday Mode supports responsible selling by helping retailers:

  • Prevent delayed dispatches and cancellations.
  • Maintain service standards and customer satisfaction.
  • Retain their performance metrics by not removing their products from the platform.

By pausing sales rather than risking fulfilment delays, you can return to selling fully prepared.

How to Enable Holiday Mode?

Holiday Mode can be enabled directly within the Retailer Portal, your portal for managing orders, products and account settings.

To activate Holiday Mode:

  1. Log into the Retailer Portal using your seller credentials.
  2. Navigate to the Holiday Mode section within the Setting menu.
  3. Click “Book Holiday” to schedule your time away.
  4. Select your start and end dates.
  5. Review your details and submit your request.

Once activated, your products will automatically have the option to purchase removed for the selected period. You can monitor your booking status directly within the Retailer Portal.

We recommend scheduling Holiday Mode in advance, particularly during peak trading periods such as Easter and Christmas, to ensure a smooth transition.

Good to Know

  • Holiday mode can be enabled for a minimum of 3 days and a maximum of 21 days.
  • For holidays less than 3 days, please add a lead-time at the SKU level in your feed. Your integration partner can assist with this.
  • Please contact your Account Manager if you need to stop orders for a period of more than 21 days.
  • Holidays cannot be booked within 14 days of another holiday’s end date.

Important Considerations

Before enabling Holiday Mode, we strongly recommend:

  • Complete all outstanding orders.
  • Respond to all open customer enquiries.

If unresolved issues remain after Holiday Mode is enabled, Fruugo may need to step in to assist customers. In some cases, this could involve issuing refunds and charges in line with marketplace policies.
